This year I have tried to take more pictures from around the croft and Pier. My feeders have been very busy this year with Starlings, Sparrows, Blackbirds, Collard Doves. I had great fun in the spring watching the Starlings with their babies and just how demanding they were. The dedication of the parent birds is incredible to watch. We also have the pleasure of watching for a short time the terns, both common and arctic feeding along the waters of our croft. Other visitors have been the wagtails, they return every year, the wrens make beautiful music all through the summer. We for the second year had Green Finch, but camera was never at hand to capture those. Down at the fresh water outlet is always different birds to watch, from Snipe to Herring Gulls nabbing HUGE star fish. I was fascinated to watch a curlew eating a crab as well, just how the bird shook it and gulped it down. Almost unbelievable.
Please enjoy some of my images from the last year. Sorry if you have seen the pics before.

Magic shots! ...Especially your starling ones :-)
